Engine Knocking?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Engine_knocking

I have never heard of Engine Knocking until I've registered for this forum. I searched also on this forum, couldn't really find the answer of what it was, so I wikipedia-ed it.. Is that information correct?

And even then, I cant really grasp engine knocking, so can someone simplify that for me? And do EVO IX's stock knock?

Knock occurs because the pressure and temperature in the cylinder are high enough when combustion is occurring that the unburned fuel/air mixture spontaneously ignites. Thus, these temperatures and pressures must be kept below a certain level to prevent knock from occurring.

Happens to any vehicle.
