My predicament (Huge advice needed... Be warned)
My predicament (Huge advice needed... Be warned)
Ok so ive pretty much decided im getting out of my 06 civic SI and getting into an evo9 (havent really decided on which trim yet since its not DD)...
Ok so i will have to sell my civic first, I owe much less on the civic than i could sell it for (privately) so i guess in a sence i have possitive equity in the car. The only thing is, it takes time and hassle to sell one on my own. I dont know if i should go to a dealer and trade it cuz i will probably get lowballed on the SI and if i dont they will prolly wanna jack me on the EVO... I have seen some ,what seem like awsome deals on MR's) 06 mrs from bonestock to light bolt on mods with rims, anywhere from 2-9k miles for $27-29k this seems awsome... also there is an RS in the area with 5k miles from a dealer i may be able to talk down from $25.5k... I dont mind driving a ways to get an awsome deal and i live in Atlanta Georgia.
My other deal is, the X is coming soon, so this leads me to believe once it does prices of 9s both used and new, private and dealer prices will come down... i can afford to wait if youy guys think it may save me money. I mean whats the expected release of the X isnt it like Feb.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Im wanting to buy an older civic to daily drive to keep evo miles low cuz i commute so far to work. civic with 70k miles or so a safe bet for a couple grand?...
Thanks in advance,
Josh

Dude
Take it from a 30yr old with 4 imports at any one time.
1. Pay the fraking si off in 2yrs. No mods just enjoy it.
By then we should know if the X is worth a squat.
2. Then with your clear (good) credit to finance a X with the full 10yr warranty
Si DD EVO X street terror.
Hope this helps

i'm dumber after reading that. why talk about what the dealer will do, walk in and ask, and it sounds like u dont know what u want to buy. do u want me to pick out what u should wear tommorow.
This is what I'm in the middle of right now. An evo is worth any hassle you must go through to get it. I was going to get it in the butt on my trade in for my GTI with a 28R. I was going to get 7k, and I owed 12k. HA, not going to happen. I sold it for what I needed, and the guy is picking it up this weekend. Then I start the deal on a new evo IX SE as soon as possible. I can't wait.
I think Mitsu is trying to clear the lots of the IXs before the Xs come out. And I KNOW I want 4G63. It's a known good engine. who knows what this new one is going to be like.
