I start my job this week..meaning sometime in the next week or two i will be getting my evo But i went into the dealer today to ask some last minutes questions. I was poking around the engine bay and i noticed that the part under where the engine says mivec (i believe to be the headers.. but im not exactly a mechanic and dont know my parts very well lol) were pretty rusted. The dealer told me that i would be able to power wash it and all of the rust would come right off. He explained that the salt from the ocean rusted the outside of that part... so i guess my first question is.. are all evos like this? He told me the other one they had out on the lot was just like that too...and my second question is would i simply be able to power wash the rust off, or would i have to replace the part??

hahaha,all stock evo exhaust manifolds are rusted like that...good luck power washing it off...and i didnt know there was an ocean in OHio

 

Seriously, I haven't seen one yet that wasn't rusted.

 

That kinda sucks they're all like that..o well..as long as im not the only one w/ a brand new car w/ rust in it lol.. and SOEuro.. the dealer meant the salt from the ocean from japan to here lol
