This is far off thinking, but...

This is far off thinking, but...

... what do you think the chances are of finding a new IX next April or May, and if that's within the realm of possibility, would the price go down (since the X will be out by then), or up (since it'll be rare)?

Thanks.

There's always a chance but it's a slim one. I had trouble finding a IX SE back in March. No RS's but quite a few MR's.

Shipping it to Pittsburgh from any American dealer wouldn't bother me much, if I recall correctly South Coast Mitsubishi's web site shows them having a few dozen new ones in stock at the moment.

Your chances are not looking good. I would grab one now if i were you. There is no time for waiting. I was going to wait like 4-5 months to save but i ended up getting one that day cause i didnt want to risk not getting a fresh one.

Yeah, I too need to save... I need to save a few more grand to make a nice down payment otherwise my monthly payments will be a bit too large for my liking.

If the Evo X is comparably priced (around the 30-32k mark) then I'd not have much problem buying one; however, if it's priced 35-40k upwards, I'll be saving for longer than I thought..

Worst case is you might be able to find a nice used one for a lot less than new because people will be trading in for the X.......

Yeah, I guess my only option is to wait until next summer when I have the cash and see what my options are.

I see you live in Pittsburgh, it's funny, I've seen a decent bit of people that live here on this forum, but I've probably only seen one or two Evo's around my area.
