Hello All,
I have been reading posts on the evoM forums since 03' when I bought my evo but I have never posted. I thought this might be a good place to start. My Evo VIII is silver and it last dynoed at 356whp and 336 wft./lbs. of torque running 93octane on a dyno pack 5000. All with the stock turbo (still has 9,8 housing), stock intercooler, stock intake and exhaust manifolds. Tuned by Dan Ponze at the tuning factory (Farmington, MI), which is now closed for those who don't know yet. The car was built and still maintained by Darin Stocker of DJT Motor Sports (Detroit, MI). I am very please with the car so far but it still needs some love; I need the AMS brake cooling ducts and coilovers, real bad. I love track days, and I keep charcoaling brake pads; thats why I need the brake ducts. I smoked a set of Halk pads back when the car put down 300whp, then at gingerman with the current power I killed a set of ferodo ds-2500's in 2-20min sessions; howver I am very agressive into the turns. I have a couple of private groups I run with and it really keeps the cost down. I have driven on Ginger Man raceway and Grattan Raceway, both are in Michigan. Grattan is my favorite, it is a much faster track, with some amazing turns. I also did some TSD Rallys back when I first got the car, that was cool but not fast enough and I didn't want to start investing in rally a computer and my navigator was not happy having to do math for 8 hrs with a calculator so we gave that up. Well there's my story, and heres the mod list
