Plz don't flame me but I went out to install my Perrin antenna and the ****er won't screw on

I took off my stock one, and when I went to screw the shorty on, it just won't go in.

Am I missing something?

It's fixed now...Had to pry that ****er with some pliers and finally I was able to get the thread to stick out more so I could screw it in

GEEEEZEEEE.....First mod for my Evo and already I'm having trouble hahah
