Modding Question

Okay so I think its time for my father and I to start modding the car.. But I've been reading up and some people say when buying parts, you should stick to one company? Like if you go Buschur, dont go for any other AMS parts. I think that is reasonable, but I didnt really wanna go Buschur or AMS, I wanted to mix and match parts.. Is that bad? I was looking at these parts..

Apexi Power Intake
Apexi Induction Box
Perrin Evo Downpipe
WORKS Exhale StealthWORKS Performance Cat (for legal purposes)
Still undecided Cat-back (Greddy TI, JunBL, Agency Power, AMS)
Buschur Racing Inline Manual Boost Controller
Custom Flash (SpeedElement)

Would these mixes and matches conflict each other in any way? If you guys have any suggestions on better parts, please do so, but also tell me why. And also, if I were to go Buschur or AMS, would their Intake/Downpipe/Catback/Manual Boost Controller work just as good as these parts I've chosen? I've done research, and it looks like these parts are the best of the best I could get. The thing is too, money wont be too much of a problem, because my father and I are both saving up for mods. I do really want the best of the best for my car, and I know sometimes the most expensive isnt the best product, so please help us. Any help would be appreciated greatly. Thanks to all in advance.

P.S. Is there anything else I should look at getting? I'm not trying to go big turbo, or monstrous power, just looking to mod lightly/mildly. Maybe 350 HP or so is good? Would that be possible with these mods I'm looking into? I drive and EVO IX MR by the way, 1200 miles.

u can mix match parts but its better to get a package that u know will run right and comes with a tune. or you can find a good tuner. I wish i stayed stock though
