People on this forum usually recommend AMS Buschur TBE so a lot of people is going to say that it's good.

Do more searching, check on youtube.com. There are a bunch of exhaust clips on there from different manufactures.

As far as power gain for just catback. Turbo magazine did a testing and it showed that the Greddy Ti made the most. But the exhaust is really loud and there are people complaining that they get harassed by the cops with this exhaust.

Buschur 3" turboback. Not expensive and I think it sounds good. Just get the hfc and tp n swap in the hfc when the time to smog comes around. At least thats what I'm using and plan to do to pass the sniffer.

I'm looking for something quiet. Not trying to draw any attention with the feds. Any suggestions?

Speaking solely as an enthusiast, I'd say it the Buschur catback is the highest flowing if you put stock in all the dyno plots posted up everywhere here. If you're looking for that last pony, there's your answer. On the flip side, I still maintain Megan is the best bang for the buck.

Tanabe Madalion Touring cat-back is very quiet.

Here is my review with my pics and soundclips from Tanabe's web site.

I got the Skunk2 a while back...

Check this, I got it from Skunk2 but the results are from Turbo Magazine.

The break-down is cool because it shows catbacks that lose torque below 3500rpm. There were a few other pics and the dyno's even in the issue of Turbo, but I only have this pic on this laptop. Everything was kept constant I think too, boost pressure, etc etc.

Or instead of buschur claiming they have the lightest and highest hp gaining exhaust, you could pick up a mines. Full titanium construction and in 90mm (3.5 inches.)

A lot of Japanese companies make Ti exhaust, Amuse (70&80mm), JIC(80mm), HKS(75mm), Trust (which is GReddy, 80mm), YR advance (80mm), Mine's (80&90mm), Monster (70&80mm), ARC (70&80mm) and handful others. Most of them weigh between 4.5kg to 6kg. They also range between 1500 to 3000 usd.

Only problem is that some of them have a lot of bends, or few bends with big angles, or combination of both. Some of them taper or have bottleneck. I believe JIC is the one with the least bends (just 1 bend I think), but it is dangerously close to touching the ground.

Another problem is that all of them are CATBACK exhausts, which means you need to get downpipe as well as testpipe/resonated testpipe/highflow cat. Thats extra money you need to spend, and also there is fitment issues. Only Japanese brand I know that makes Ti testpipe is Mine's and some tiny shop called Boss something. Mine's Ti testpipe is 70mm, the boss one I believe was 80mm, but good luck tracking them down and have them ship it to you. Only other choice is either 70mm or 76mm (3") stainless steel from Mine's. You might still benefit from the 80mm catbacks, but you won't get the benefit of 80mm catback + 80mm testpipe. Also the structure won't be a nice conical, gradual enlargement, and rather a 'cascade' shaped that might cause turbulance inside the pipe and interfere with the flow. Only 2 downpipes that are Japanese and 3" or bigger are YR Advance (3" or 76mm), and RS*R (80mm but tapers to 70mm). I can't think of any non-custom made downpipe thats titanium, and since you're forced to stick with SS downpipe, your 4.5-6kg exhaust is no longer 4.5-6kg exhaust, probably closer to 8-9kg by now. You wouldn't want your downpipe to be made of titanium anyways, it would probably turn brittle over time due to the temperature.

I went with Buschur, you can say I'm biased, but I don't care, I think BR TBE is a great product. If you have had feud with, or just hate David or Jarrod for no reason, there are plenty of other high quality US products to choose from as well, like AMS, GSC, Perrin, TurboXS, ETS, APS, Work and tons more.

What I want to say is if you go with fancy Japanese Ti exhaust, you will probably regret at some point when you realize that you are making the same or even less horse power than a full 3" TBE from the US vendors, weigh almost the same after counting testpipe and downpipe, and most importantly, you've paid triple or even quadruple the amount.
