im looking into buying an evo. I have the money but i cant afford 29k that good local used ones are going for. I really dont want an 8 cause of the non-mivec and 03-04 non acd. Im really stuck on what to do if i got the 9 the only mods done would be tbe drop in and tune, period. I dont want to have to buy and 8 and do cams and new turbo and the 9 bov to have it up to par on that level. Any input would be great

 

there isnt really any major difference between the two. I have seen some bad *** 8's put down some nasty numbers with stock turbo, cams, and what nots. If you stick the same mods and parts in an 8 and a 9 you will roughly get the same numbers....depending on the driver. Yes the bov is better, but thats a quick fix on the forums. Test drive them and see the comparison. You wont see much, unless the driver beat the **** out of the 8.....or nine if it being used. Just some of my own thoughts, not saying i am right. Good with the search.
