stolen refrigerant from the dealership!!
I just saw this thread, read the whole thing, and am surprised that you think the dealership did this. Regardless of who caused the issue it should be your first priority to make sure there isn't a fault in the system. While I don't trust sales managers from any dealership I do know that being a manager means that you have to gain business, and you can't do so if you continually **** people off. The sales manager might lie to you to sell you a car, but when it comes right down to it and he says it will be taken care of it will be taken care of. you should give them the chance, and if you don't then there is no BBB or lawyer that will even listen to what you have to say. You have definitely gone about this the wrong way, I hope you can get your AC back but you will most assuredly have to pay for it if you don't bring it back to the accused dealership. I would be willing to bet that if there are no leaks in your system, and you discuss this matter calmly with the service or even general manager it will be taken care of. handling it like a tool, even when you are right, is no way to handle any situation.
I'm sorry xman23, but you are a little off in you way of thinking. First of all, there is a fine line in the level of refrigerant as to when it blows cold and when it does not. That last amount could have leaked out while being serviced. Yes, it is an awful coincidence, but it happens. You forget that there are seal in the system that can fail. You would not be able to see that without the fore-mentioned dye.
And a free check up means you get your car visually inspected for free. Fluids, tires, brakes, belts, etc. That does not mean they will diagnose your car for free.
I know you are mad, but this stuff happens. To badmouth a dealership and accuse them of stealing your refrigerant is just ridiculous. What would a tech have to gain by stealing it? He does not get paid unless it is in the RO. If the dealership was paying techs to drain peoples refrigerant at random, I, as a tech would report them. so it is reasonable to assume that some other tech would as well. It is too risky to attempt. There is no reason for distrust in this instance. You have a leak my friend. Just buck up and get it fixed or go without A/C.

the mechanic that worked on it, simple put a small bead or sumthing in the a/c line cap and drained it all, puttin a/c in a car is like a gravy job and it pays alot, trust me i know
I just don't think he really understands how things work. I think he actually thought he was getting shafted. I don't believe he was trying to do any harm. People just don't know anymore, with all the mechanic horror stories you hear.
It is a shame that good technicians and dealerships get lotted in with those hacks.

It's all good, he came in, we talked. I recommended a condensor repair shop that was local after finding out that a new one in parts runs about 700 bucks. Pleasant experience and I think all will be well now.
I went to a reputable shop and got a reputable mechanic to examine my AC problem. He told me there is a big hole in my condensor (he didnt' see the big hole but from the big splash of dye, he assume there is a big hole) So that was the conclusion of the UV test.
I went back to mitsubishi and talked it out. I am glad to know condensors can be repaired instead of getting a new one for 700+ or even getting a used one.
I am still doubtful of the perfect coincidence. A small rock could really had possibly flew in and created the damage. But if the repair guy tells me it is not a rock that damaged it, I will go back to maywood again!! ><
thank you everyone for your suggestions and advices. I appreciate it.
thank you kmxxbadboy
