i have recently bought my first lancer which has not been on the road for over a year and the battery was dud and the starter motor was shot,since then i have fitted a new starter and the car now starts and runs for around three seconds then cuts out which is driving me insane can anbody shed some light on this problem so i can drive my car rather than it driving me mad

 

I would, drain the old gas, put new one, replace spark plugs+wires, oils.

 

i have already changed all of the above,could it be that the key has lost it's code
