Picked the car described in this thread https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=294375 yesterday... The car's fun and handles like a slot car. I am impressed with how docile it is around town. It's funny- everybody says it rides stiff, but compared to the Camaro, it's a Cadillac.

Here's what I am going to do to the car immediately, in order of importance:

Re-clear spoiler
Make some rattle can JDM VII tails
Sell S-techs, get new springs and struts
Repaint Brembo calipers
Get winter wheels and tires


Any suggestions on any of those subjects (and no, I'm not spending more than that on taillights.)

 

congrats! I would take the spoiler in for warranty if you can. Yes I know you have a '03 VIII but I would still try. When I got mine replaced, the dealer had a TSB that said if anybody comes in with bad visual damage to the spoiler then take pics and send to Mitsu. Once the dealer does that you should get a new one. Worked for me and pretty sure it didnt specify model year.

Also dont do the rattle can VII tails. Looks cheesy. Save up and get the genuine ones IMO.

 

Yeah, but they don't give you the full carbon fiber spoiler back.

 

Tom painted his Tails and they look great! Good luck. Post up some pictures of your tails when you finish. A few people are using a red vinyl sticker.
