I hope to be picking up a black 06'evo next week after going back and forth between an R32, 03' cobra or a CTS V.
1st thing, tini, alarm and a dvd/navi unit. Im going for the double DIN so the orbital conversion kit is needed, is this the only kit?
if I have any $$ left over im guessing intake and exhaust, ill be doing a search on here for both but if any one has any insight id like tp hear it. As for exhaust tone, are there any that are deeper than others? after comming from a V8 i think thats what ill miss most is the exhaust sound.

A few companies make the double DIN kit, but the Orbital one is the only kit where it has the HVAC relocation kit, moving the switches down to the bottom. They have stopped production on it, so it's available only while supplies last, but there are current orders that are on backorder, so you won't get yours until everyone ahead of you gets theirs.

I don't remember exactly, but I think it was because he expected it to sell out like crazy but it didn't, plus he wants to focus his company's efforts into developing a new product... not necessarily because it didn't make him a millionaire or anything, but because he still had a big hole in his wallet. I believe that once deciding to end production, his plan was to produce the necessary amount of units to where the very last one sold would allow him to roughly break even from the money invested.

It's unfortunate, since from what I've seen it was a very good product and the only one of its kind so far (as no one else makes the HVAC relocation kit, unless you want to spend thousands and make the switch to the JDM/Euro system). However, a lot of people were dissatisfied since when he made the announcement, it was said that the final batches would be ONLY in the flat black color and none in the other shiny gray color (which seems to match the factory look a little bit better).
