Hey guys, I'm not a current Evo owner, but will be soon. I've always dreamed of an Evo and am going to make it a reality. I thought I'd jump on the forums ahead of time to get a good idea on the car itself and to help me make a decision on the specific trim. I'm set on a IX, but I can't decide between the IX and the MR. Is there a thread for this argument already? If so I couldn't find one for the IX, just the VIII's. Any help would greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance and looking forward to many posts!

Thanks, and believe me when I said I searched like mad all over the site and had a really tough time (kept finding threads about the "new" VIII MR lol). I'm happy to hear the base is a better buy than the MR cause I REALLY love the blue and the MR doesn't come in that. One last question: what is the big difference going from the 5 spd. to the 6?

 

apart from the obvious difference? it seems to matter most to the people who drag race.

Hahaha yes apart from the obvious difference, but I meant does it make a difference in 1/4 ET, gas mileage, driveability, etc.
