i need a new air filter, but my k&n doesnt come in till monday or tuesday
whats gonna happen if i drive it for a couple of days with no filter?
besides the bov sounding much louder

 

you may posibly distroy your turbo. anyone who drives without a filter should not own the damn car. please dont drive without one.

 

just put your old one back in. i dont get it.

 

i dont plan on it, but i need to go to work tomorrow. i just doubt that 1 day of driving with no filter will hurt it to extreme proportions
i was expecting my k&n to come in yesterday, but i guess shipping is delayed and will come monday

 

my friend has my old one, since i thought mine would come yesterday
it was an easy $20 for me, he just wanted my old one and i thought id have a new one that day

 

aight its settled. my mom's letting me borrow her xterra until monday
problem solved!

 

so tell him. give me my s#^t back for a day. and 1 day is all it takes man. do you realize a pebble or anything ANYTHING will mess ur turbo up. dude its spining at 10k+rpms. i might even be way way low on my guess here. your plan stupid if you do it. dont risk it. ask him for the filter for 1 more day. where is his filter. holy crap.

my friend daily drive 500 hp turbo civic without a filter, and nothing happened! I dont know why everyone is fusing over 1 day. Actually, alot of ppl do this.

 

Just the sound of having no filter makes me cringe just bacuase of how hard the 4g63 works. But, I guess 1 day is no big deal? I'm Ron Burgundy?

All it takes is one grain of sand to destroy your engine. Keep that firmly in mind the next time you even have a dream about driving without an air filter.

 

Turbos spin over 100K rpms so all the more reason i would agree with you.
