Since you're in hartford, call up Bishop Motorsports in Canton...about 20 mins up rt.44. They have experience tuning/setting up Evos and can get you all the parts that you need. They have a dyno too, so you can get some baselines before you mod.

No problem! Kyle, the owner, really knows his stuff when it comes to suspension (power too, but mostly suspension).

As for the turbo back you should get Tanabe's Concept G Blue turbo back system. I just got that on mine and it's honestly the best sounding evo I've heard so far. Got some good gains too.

pricewise, tbe is running around 1000, up and down.. but what about instalation.. how much does a shop charges to instaling a tbe and boost control... I'm new with Evo, if it was GTI, i would mess with it, but not on Evo.. I wanna someone else to set my Evo the best possible way...

Those mods are easy to install, just search tbe install/ and mbc install. Those mods are pretty much all bolt on no major tools required....heres what you should do imo

-TBE
-K&N drop in filter
-MBC
-LICP (lower intercooler pipe
-Walbro 255lph fuel pump
-MR BOV depending if you have the crappy plastic bov some of the evos came with

And then get a tune for around 21-22 psi and you'll be set, some guys get a FMIC w/the LICP but thats up to you....its a little spendy, but AMS has a good deal right now on both

Since he has a IX he doesn't need an upgraded BOV as his is already metal.

Those mods are very easy to install. It has to be one of the easiest cars I have ever changed the exhaust on. The tune is definitely the most important part. Have fun.
