There are supposedly only around 300 or so 06 RS in the states. You might want to pick that up just for reselling at higher price.

I just got an 05 ssl for 28k... but I had a trade in, it was an 06 spec V that they gave me 17k for. Originally wanted to give me 9k for the sentra, so I guess I got the evo for 22k?? Seems like a fair price at 25k for a 9. It sounds like you are going to make the RS as "GSR" with an aluminum roof lol.

No differnces between financing with a dealer and private party unless mitsu is offering an incentive...

One mistake, there are no power windows in the front on the Evo IX RS, all the windows are manual. So are the door locks and the side mirrors. The latter gets annoying when my wife has to drive the car, it's PITA to adjust the passenger side mirror manually as you can imagine.

I don't regret getting the IX RS because I was willing to accept these inconveniences. Some can't though. Not sure on the specifics of a manual to automatic lock conversion, but outside of finding a junked Evo with the correct parts, I bet it may not be worth the time or money. Like Roldy says, aftermarket may be the way to go.

Edit: Also for reference, I got mine back in July '07 with 5500 miles for $25.5k after all taxes and fees it came to $26.5k out the door.

seems a little bit over price. I bought my brand new for 28k out the door. IMO this is the best evo model made, that is if you can deal with not have power windows and door locks. Pure race car

After Market door locks

I had no problem putting in an after market door lock in my RS.
Only did the drivers door for the alarm/auto unlock. Passengers can suffer.
