New guy saving for a Evo 8
Hey guys I'm 16 and hope to get a car in about a year. I've always loved the evo but never really payed much attention to it as it always seemed out of my reach. I was going to get a RSX-S but after reading an old mag it seems that the evo wont cost much more. my dad shud be able to give me 15000$ on a car he approves and I got over 2000$ to cover the rest. anyway I'll be on here quite a bit unless I end up with a FWD honda
dont seem too likely, I talked to a guy working with Mitsubishi at the Miami auto show and my mom was with me til I met my friend (its a family outing) and he said its a performance car not meant for first cars or daily driving. I'm like dude, I thot you are supposed to SELL cars, and he said he cud sell me a base lancer. dam
you should be able to get an evo for that price pretty easy. I may sell mine in the next 6 months or so. If you do get one, have fun but be careful, there is always someone faster and cops where you least expect it. When you are ready to buy let me know.
I will, hang on to your evo for another year if youre planning to come to south florida, I'm not finding many, esp stock ones. cant find any RS but atleast I will get the wing. as far as speeding goes, I'll do it in any car, but I only got my permit now and just a couple days ago I got overtaken by a Kia minivan

Just start saving now. In about year you'll probably have more then enough and I'm pretty sure prices will go down (even a little). So that would help. Just don't go around driving like an a** when you do get one.
about the overtake, I was in a old RL with my dad in the front seat and a friend in the back on my way to school.
and I've got a 4.0 GPA so if I am likely to get a scholarship then I am more likely to get a nice car - evo of course
