Sequential shifter?-newbie here.....

I've been reading the Evo rumors forum for a while now,as I plan on purchasing an 03 Evo.This is my first post.I was wondering if anybody has heard of this sequential shifter?http://www.ikeya-f.co.jp/english/index.htmlIt looks like they developing one to fit the Evo.Although you still must engage the clutch,it could speed up shifts without spending $10K on a true sequential transmission.Any info would help. Thanks in advance!

you can download testing and demo movies from

looks good, i'm considering one, but i mean as a daily driver, i dunno how well it'll work... and its a relatively new product and has so many gears and mechanical parts... i dunno bout if it has durability issues or stuff like that... i'll sit back and look for reviews after a year or so (hey thats good timing for Evo VII too) and decide then...

oh yeah and u should be aware that it was designed for J-spec cars, to the shifter wont be as close to US-spec car steering wheels as its meant to be, if we install it in a US car that'll mean the Reverse gear lever sits between you and the shifter... and for new pics for the specific sequential shifter built for the CT9A (Evo VII), browse the japanese Ikeya website, not the english website, coz its more up to date, the CT9A shifter is alot less chunky and quite appealing actually...
