if you can't afford to get snow tires, then how are you going to keep up with the maintenance on this car?? and like everyone has said, DO NOT ride on the stock advans. They are not fun at all, and they do not have any grip whatsoever.

If you drive on the stock yoko's you wont be able to stop, trust me, in an inch of snow I went like a sled right past a toll booth one time and tried to throw the money at the guy yelling "I can't stop!". Get snow tires.

I lol'd picturing that.
and listen to what everyone's saying. They're correct. I tried my car in the snow with the stock tires, and they might as well been hockey pucks...

This is very true.

I was moving my car to let my sister out and just going 10 mph and lightly tapped the brakes and the car went sideways instantly and I was literally a couple of centimeters from hitting a parked car.

You can drive with the yoko's... but can you stop? Not really.

If you can't afford to buy snow tires for your evo, then you need to sell your evo. Sounds to me like you made a pretty poor (no pun intended) financial choice.

asx and the falken ziex 912 are almost identical. Ive run the 912s in the winter and have never once got stuck in any snow fall. It gets pretty rough here in SE Pa.
