Here's an and for a 2006 Evo 8. Is this right?

VIN in the AD says it's a 2006 but this is clearly an Evo 8. What's the deal?

Either that or the VIN in the AD is not the VIN from the car. Strange.
Thanks all for confirming my thoughts.

It is clearly a mistake. No one would downgrade their IX into an VIII. Don't get me wrong the VIII is a great car but the IX has a much better interior and front bumper. I think no one would go through all that just to make it look like an VIII.
Makes sense to me
Well, it's the right picture b/c i went to the dealership to look at this car myself. I registered for this forum specifically to ask this question but found this thread (search FTW). I'll try to go talk to them this afternoon and get some more info on it.
In your opinion, this really being an '05 would drastically drop the asking price even with the low mileage? When i checked the car out (on Christmas so i wouldn't get attacked by the salesmen) the car appears to have been driven hard and put up wet so to speak. Every wheel had been curbed, the brakes had several large grooves in each rotor, the dealership had obviously just put on new tires (the mold flashing was still on the contact patches), and the driver's seat looks slightly deformed possibly from an overweight person owning the car before. The plastic clips that holds the seat cover around the sides was also cracked every inch or so all the way down the seat. Given this info what would be a good offer on this car, or should it be avoided all together if it's taken this much abuse to be noticeable?
Thanks for any input.
