hello new to this forum and cars!
I'm just getting my first car around september. And i'm hoping it would be an evo x because i hear 8s and 9s are almost always abused, which is understandable. How much do u guys pay for your Evo's per month including EVERYTHING like insurance and gas and monthly payment for it. I did a search but couldnt find anything that could really help me. Please help me out i need to convince my parents to allow me to buy this car with my money! thx.

 

Well dude, welcome to the forum! If your getting a car in Sept, that means that your somewhere around the age of 16, correct? If so, a can't say that an Evo is the wisest choice for your first car. They're quite a handful if your not experienced with the power. Especially if they start to get away from you and you've never really driven an AWD car. And by driven I mean really DRIVE IT, hard! My first car was a 95 Subaru Wagon which I still have today. AWD was not a new thing for me when I got my Evo. You say that a Wagon isnt the same as an Evo, which you would be correct, but as hard as I drove it and in the conditions that I drove it I knew what to do if the car did something I didnt what it to.

To answer a few of your questions anyway,I will start with the payment. I didnt trade anything in, nor put any money down i'm paying $488 a month for 6 years. There was a guy on these forums that traded in his Evo for a 06' Viper and his insurance went DOWN. The insurance for one of these cars is unreal....It is the highest vehicle in America to insure. Why you ask, haha, you are the reason. Because 16 year old kids talk their parents into buying them a FAST first car, and they wrap it around a poll in the first month of owning it and get REALLY hurt bad or die.

I said it before, I REALLY cannot stress enough how much you need to reconsider about buying an Evo as your first car.

WOW thank you very much. that actually helped me a lot! i have another ques. do cops really pull u over a lot if u drive sports cars and are young, i hear stories were kids my age et 13 tickets at a time (and all bs ones too)
