Guidence on which wideband? Newbi

Just started looking for a wide band... couldn't figure out what i was actually looking for... so many choices Just was trying to find a basic one which i would be able to use to log and tune. Looked into the innovate xd-16 and the aem uego any advice would help. and if anyone has one for sale would help as well... Thanks

1. Looking for something that can log with a cable and laptop

2. Looking for something that can log other things like ; egt, a\f, boost (if it can log boost, do i have to purchase a boost gauges?)

3. Looking for a good price range to stay around ( lets me know if i need to save up some more money or not)

The only one that can do all of that and be logged by Evoscan is Zeitronix which is actually a pretty solid unit. Granted you have to buy a bunch of add-ons, it's still pretty solid. Contact ttp-engineering about it, i think they have a special on it, or had it not sure.

XD-16 all the way......all my evo buddies wish they would have bought it. easy as heck to calibrate and setup. you can log boost with it but you will need to hook a vacumm hose to the harness. just buy it for the a/f gauge and buy an additional boost gauge

I personally love Innovate products for AFR logging. Here is a question for you ... do you want to log all of those values via the SAME CONNECTION as the wideband, or do you plan to log all other values separately via EvoScan or Mitsulogger?

My setup is:
Innovate LC-1 to log AFR
JDM MAP sensor for boost reference

I log everything but AFR straight from the ECU with EvoScan. This includes RPM, Timing, Boost, Load, Airflow, etc. I log data from the LC-1 (separate USB connection) in in EvoScan as well so the data is in the same file.

I believe that this is the most cost effective way to get all of the data you need.

LC-1 - $180
JDM MAP - $100
EvoScan - $30 (or use MitsuLogger which is free)

The downside of this is that there is no gauge included for visual reference. The Innovate XD-16 gauge is simply awesome and really easy to use. But, the kit with the LC-1 and XD-16 gauge cannot be found under $315. Using a less expensive gauge would be an option as well.

I actually just bought the LC-1 and XD-16 combo, and then hours later found a better price. (this is the wideband with indicator and logworks with bung kit.) Just get the kit because you will probably want the indicator anyway, at least I did, and its a much better deal as a pair, rather than the 230 for LC-1 and 199 for XD-16 (estimate). Talk to primo8998 for a smoking deal that unfortunately I couldnt take advantage of as it was too late.

Hope that helps.

TouringBubble,

What other gauge option do you know of that will work with the LC-1?

Thanks

You can use the analog 5v output from the LC-1 with any 5v compatible gauge ... you can even use the 1v narrowband output for a gauge if you wanted. I think the the XD-16 is the only digital gauge that works with the Innovate system though ...

I'd advise getting on eBay and searching "Innovate"

They have a few on there with the DB guage, which is cheaper than the XD-16

Zeitronix is the best value and quality with included features out of the box. Made in the USA by engineers from the medical precision instrument field.

Yeah I kinda Agree.. the zt-2 and the multi gauge for about 400 but then I wouldn't have to purchase boost gauge and oil pressure gauge correct nor egt?

You wouldn't have to buy the gauges, but I think you'd still have to buy the sensors and install them.
