Have had a 1992 plymouth laser forever, getting ready to hang a HX52 on it, its already gutted and stripped of almost everything a street car uses, AC, heater, power steering, all interior plastic, fuel tank ect. Even have a spare block/crank in the bedroom for her lol.
1991 eclipse gsx had for almost a year running mostly stock, stil fun at 18 lbs ona td05.
DSM's are fun and a good learning experience (since they always break they force you to learn or pay, and its easier and cheaper to learn lol.) but I want a reliable daily thats got teeth hence the 2003 evo 8 with 33000miles getting a new 2.4 long rod long block and new competition clutch. i want something I dont have to worry about driving a few states over and the gsx has 190000 on the ticker...
