Time to order my parts, what do you guys think?

For the most part, I will be going pretty conservative for my first shipment of parts. I'm looking for around 360whp, anything over that is a plus. Do you all think that this list is alright, or is there anything that would be better if i changed?

Megan TBE ~450
AEM Tru Boost Controller ~285
Injen Intake w/ IC Pipes ~410
Cosworth 272 Cams ~600
Exhaust Manifold Ported and Coated~200
Buschur Tune~300

So I'm looking at about $2245 plus shipping, does that seem like a pretty good list of parts for my first install? If so, will I need any other parts to keep everything safe such as, walbro, new spark plugs, etc? Any input is appreciated.

I would get a tubular O2 housing and LICP instead of the Injen Intake/IC Pipes.

Walbro for sure...
Plugs should be fine unless they have a lot of miles on them. Personally I don't think the manifold needs to be coated, thats $ you could spend elsewhere. You may want to add an 02 housing to your list.
Do you have an VIII or a IX?
I know this isn't for your Sidekick

Your not getting 360whp on those parts buddy. Especially if you get it tuned on BR's dyno.

Here's my advice:

Walbro 255 fuel pump- 100$
Megan or ssauto o2 housing- 100$
Megan downpipe- 120$
Hks catback-around 400$
Hallman Pro mbc-80$
defi boost gauge-200$
injen uicp/licp with intake- 375$
4 wheel slide tune- 150$
xs front mount intercooler- $130 shipped
Brian Crower 272's-$325

All that will probably put you around 340-360whp (But not on br's dyno)

All that equals out to be around $2,000 and that will include shipping

Just my .02 cents

I think it's a pretty good list. I'm a HUGE fan of those cosworth 272s. Where are you getting a Megan TBE for only $450? That's a steal!

I'll be honest with you though, the Injen kit is kind of a waste of money. They look nice and sure the intake works (with a tune), but it is a lot of money with minimum gains. I don't pay attention to a company's own dyno readings. I could make my car read anything by just changing some settings around on it.

The problem with the injen kit is the I/C pipes follow the stock path and that does't really help us much. MAYBE a little better response but minimum. It's just a lot of money for something that doesn't do a whole lot. The intake is...well...just an intake. Not much to it. I've heard good stuff about the buschur filter and that's what I would put on my own car.

Alright, I've got an IX, so if I drop the Injen and get the O2 housing and LICP, and walbro, what else would i need from there for around 360whp if that wont make it?

Ohh that's a good point. They do read very low compared to dynojet numbers. Don't be disappointed when you get a dynosheet saying only 320 whp or something.

I forget what Buschur uses...is it a Mustang dyno?

You're getting a test pipe with that megan TBE correct?

- TBE
- Boost controller
- O2 Housing
- Intake
- Ported Manifold
- CAMS
- Tune

I dunno...I think it'll be running high 11s no prob. Don't worry so much about the number of 360 whp. It'll be a monster regardless.

edit:\\ Yeah this is almost like an instant message conversation. lol

Don't worry about numbers. If your getting tuned by BR, drop him a Pm. Tell him how much money your working with. I promise he will lead you into the right direction.

He can make your car faster with less money.
