2 questions--Boost gauge and getting a tune

1st-- Anyone heard of Mookeeh boost gauges? They seem legit but i just want to see if anyone has some first hand experience from them...
Here's a link:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BOOST...mZ370019333122

2nd-- I need a tune and i cannot spend anymore money on the car due to school starting up but with an MBC, intake and ebay TBE...how much power could i possibly make? Also, how does the "getting a tune" process work? (never had a tune on a car) Do they give me a certain amount of time on the dyno and they do everything?

Sorry for the newbness just never had any tunes or bought for work of a tune

moochh?? WTF.. just stick with a autometer... or if you got some spare change go with defi.

tune basically make your car run at an optimal settings as far as your timing, AFR goes...

on a 9 with those mods you can see upto 340 awhp on a dynojet dyno. but on a 8 i believe yiou can get upto 290~310?

just remember to have your boost gauge in first befre puttin that mbc in.

Since you live in SoCal, go on socalevo.net and look up "Looney Tuning." He works out of Long Beach, so you can go to his spot, it'll cost you between $150-200 (depending on what things you want beyond the standard tune). Also, Mellon on this forum seems to be a good tuner as well, if you don't mind logging your own stuff then sending it to him online.

Both of them have a lot of acclaim where they post and have good pricing.

I paid about 300.00 for my tune and they had it on the dyno for about 3.5 - 4 hours, it is an amazing difference. Well worth the money.

^ I figured it'd only be fair to mention you as well. I've heard great things about both of you (though I'm not sure if you've heard of the other person I've mentioned since I don't think he posts here), as I've considered going through you anyway... plus I have a soft spot for Memphis (where my parents met and got married :P ).

I've heard the name before on the forum but he isn't a vendor here so there would be no recourse through EVOm if there were problems

As far as those gauges go they are very similar to the Defi Link BF gauges but are much cheaper. That being said, you could buy them and do a review for people on this site. I'm sure many people would welcome a cheaper alternative to the Defi.
