intake question

i have an evo 9 and i was wondering if i put a K&N filter on 2 the stock intake tube if i would need a tune? if not would i have any problems with the engine down the road or will it be ok? thanks for the help.

You would be okay probably, but I would turn down the boost. Your better off installing it when you can get the tune.

A cone filter or a drop in?


Drop in:
No no tuning needed.

Cone Filter:
Tends to mess with the AFR on the car and tuning should be advised.
