I'm trying to help my friend to decide between an 05 evo MR and an 04 STi... The people that own the evo say that they had a new gauge cluster put in.

My question is, Does the ECU automatically put in the original miles into the cluster? or does the cluster hold the miles by itself?

Don't want to get ripped off TIA

 

i had to have a new gauge cluster installed in my car and they had to send both units out to have the mileage switched to the new cluster
