Walmart has everything (they do own some used car lots).

In all honesty though, there really is no one good place. I've found most of my cars on CarSoup, but I found my Evo on here in the classifieds. When you're looking for that perfect Evo just watch as many classified websites as you can. For an Evo, my favorites would be EvoM, CarSoup, Cars.com, and AutoTrader.

I don't really think it's a matter of where but when. It just takes a lot of patience (if you're willing to wait) to find that sweet deal.

Craigslist, Vehix, autotrader, yahoo cars etc. Just look and look because even the same cars can be advertised different prices through different sites.

Here's the most obvious, yet overlooked part (not to make you sound stupid or anything): if you find a good deal just remember to KBB it. See what the market value, and see what others (private party/ dealerships) are selling it for. Play it by price/ year It's all about leverage, and no matter how good a deal is, never act like you want it.

Good Luck.

Honestly just look around until you find THE ONE. I just got mine last month and found it in the for sale section (been looking for a year)

Don't settle for one you don't fully want and thats not a good deal.

A lot of great people on these forums sell their Evo's and are good on their prices (unlike stealerships, etc). Keep an eye out and you'll find one just for you.

Got mine on autotrader. just be patient and decide what you're looking for as far as overall miles and mods whether cosmetic or performance, since you can save big time on a car that has some basic mods considering most mods don't raise the selling price much but can lower your investment costs down the road if they are things that "you would do" anyways.

I've gone both routes- buying cars new and stock and doing all mods myself (can be very expensive)
-and buying something lightly used and mildly modded and saving thousands of $'s.

Very good advice. Make a list of the things you really want and a list of the things you want but are willing to skip on if the right deal comes along. Also be sure to know exactly what you're willing to spend on the high-end. I got really lucky and found exactly what I wanted within a week of looking. I wanted a white IX with under 20k miles that was in flawless condition inside and out that was either stock or had basic bolt-ons. I found mine with 10k miles, perfect condition, basic bolt-on mods, and it was in Michigan. I'm in Minnesota and was willing to go anywhere in the country for the right car so I got pretty lucky with it being in the Midwest. Being female owned/driven and worked on only by a tech at the Ann Arbor Mitsu R&D facility was also a plus

i just got mine. it took me only about 4 months. i bought it from a private seller for a pretty good deal i think. but before i found this one i drove alot of crap ones also so going into it i wasnt expecting it to work out but it ended up that it did.

all i can say is you really have to watch, people are gonna lie especially dealers. its up to you to tell if its been abused. but if its at a dealer what ive seen is that its a dead give away thats its been beat on, IMHO. think about this, and i may be wrong but this is what i think. if the cars at a dealer most likely it was traded in. why would you trade in your evo for a different car, you can get alot more for it if you sell it yourself. so there are a few reason: you beat on the thing and know that it will be hard to find some fool who will buy it so you trade it in for what you can get, you might just not have patience and want to get ride of it, or the dealer found it at some auction with it having some strange reason for it showing up like a stolen recovery or something.
