Hello :]
Hello :]
I'm Mia and the bf and I just bought an Evo VIII MR a couple weeks back.
And just as a starter question here (maybe I didn't search hard enough), how miles did everyone manage to put on their stock clutches before they replaced 'em?

does depend on how u drive and what u do with the car. the stock clutch is pretty stout though so if your not beating the hell out of it daily, it should give you a good 40-50k. more if u just drive well normal i guess. havent really known anyone to just drive and evo normal though, lol. congrats on the purchase and welcome to evom

. Gotta love the forum leg-humping. you've achieved smoking internet hot factor by saying "i drive an Evo MR" .
well if it's daily driving and assuming you know how to drive stick and aren't learning on the Evo... i think you should be set for at least a few years of spirited driving

thanks everyone.
yeah, well of course the car is used so the stock clutch is a little worn already. thank god it was a leased car and not an owned car before!
and, it's not our first stick shift car so.. no worries.
pictures of the car one day, once it's more fixed up! haha

Leg humping FTW...My stock clutch was 100% fine the day I sold my car with 53k miles on it. Lots and lots and lots and lots of track racing, a few trips to Vegas, and lots of spirited around town driving. Just don't launch the crap out of it and you'll be fine.
...and whoa 50k... makes me feel a lot more secure. Already have an exedy waiting as a backup though, just to be prepared!
