IX has a darker smoked chrome housing, the VIII is just chrome.

The Evo 13 tail lights have not been released yet. Going on the fact that Mitsu redesigns the Evo every 3 generations, I'd say they will look nothing like the Evo 10 (and 11 and 12 respectfully).

OMG... the evo thirteen i don't even wanna think that far ahead. IX's will be obsolete by then... but yea the difference is the chrome vs. painted housing.
