How much did you pay for your Evolution?

Hey guys, as i said in the post a few spots down, im new and going to buy an evo pretty soon. I just wanted to know what you guys paid for your evos and how many miles it had on it when you bought it. Im gonna kinda use this as a reference on what to look for, and if you have any haggling tips, please share!

I paid $34,500 for my MR w/ Appearance Package. It was new with about 30 miles on it from where the salesman picked it up from their sister dealership and brought it to me.

Sticker was $37,800.

When you go in, know what you want and what you can afford to spend. Do not negotiate on a monthly payment ... negotiate a final price. Understand the there will be tax and other fees on top of what you can negotiate unless you specify an out the door price.

Also, don't seem too eager when you are checking out the car ... that's a dead giveaway that they can take you for more money. Stay calm, and if they don't like your offer, just thank them and leave.

Don't listen to any of the sales gimmics ... "there isn't another one in the state," "This is the only one we'll have for a while," "These are special and we can't sell them under MSRP." They will tell you anything to make more money.

Good luck.

Bought my 06 IX SSL in 05 of November so it was still pretty new and a very hott car at the time and paid 35,000. It wasnt a deal whatsoever but I didnt want to wait for the price to go down and I wanted it that Friday after work. So I paid the price and that was that.

2003 Evo 8 bought USED from a private party with 13,500 miles, $26,000 plus tax...which I think was around $1,200?? Put $10,000 down and financed the rest....nice low car payment.

I was definetely at the mercy of the dealer. I bought my 06 IX SE brand new in December 2007 and it was one of only two left at the dealership. They had $3,000 markups on both of them. The SE was originally $37,700 and the MR was 39,500. After haggling with the dealer for awhile they finally dropped the price of the SE to $35,500 and that was it. I knew I most likely wouldn't find another brand new one, much less an SE model so I took the deal. After tax and license it was $38,790. Yeah I know, didn't get much lube with that. But I love the car, there just isn't anything else like it.

EvoM prices.

$28,599 for IX
$30,499 - $500 (Mitsu loyalty rebate) - $500 (college graduate rebate) = $29,499 for IX SE
