Had i checked the forums i would have saved myself the time/trouble.

But i just installed, and un-installed an HKS ssqv with recirc kit.
I just bought it off my buddy, then got the recirculation fittings. Didn't think twice about possible problems. It was fine on the civic and rx7 i've had them on before, but man they are crap for the evo.

Everything was fine as i pulled out of the driveway, but that's where fine ended.
Car almost bogged out at the stop sign. I thought nothing of the little flutter, the ssqv always flutters at low rpm/low boost from any install i've heard it on, but when it was chugging and fluttering at full boost i was like WTF!?
Reset the ECU and then drove to work to see if anything improved even slightly. Nope.
Stalled out twice (once i almost hit a curb, because it was turning onto another road.)
Letting off the throttle was a jerky experience and the negative vac. the boost gauge was reading as i coasted at 3k rpm in 5th was rather odd.

Sooo yeah. Just got done putting my previously installed bov back on.

good move, they cause a lot of problems lawls

many many threads about people wanting the PSHHHH sound on stock evo's

 

and to think i was going to buy myself one of these
