Im New Here. Looking at Evo for DD.

Well, I have been looking at getting an Evo for a DD. I always have liked the Evo ever since they came to the States. I have been a member of Supraforums for a while (I have a 1997 NA MKIV Supra). Here are some pics of my car:

Well as soon as I get a daily driver and finish college..... I am looking to put a PT67 turbo with a tubular manifold, AEM EMS, 525cc injectors, TT style intake manifold, and I would like to switch it to coil-on-plug (distributor gets in the way of things and is not as reliable). Those are my plans for the Sup.

Oh... and a 6-speed swap would be nice too : )

Oh I thought you were implementing you were going to sell her for the Evo. Lucky you get to have the best of both worlds

Plans sound awesome and good luck with getting the Evo...you won't regret it. You might just decide to put all that mod money in her instead of the Sup .

Welcome here. Nice Supra by the way. My dad has a red 98 TT Supra, that I drive around sometimes. Really nice car to drive. Good luck finding your Evo, I reccommend a IX and look for either an MR, SE or MR with the SE package.

I drive my evo to work everyday and it's perfect. I also autox once a month or so. But you've already got one performance car. If it were me, I would save all the money it takes to maintain an Evo (quite a bit more than an economy car) and put it into mods on the supra. Then instead of an Evo for a DD, get a commuter... like a civic, corolla, camry. Something that sips gas and is cheap to maintain and fix.

I guess I like Evo's, because I'm picking up my 3rd one in four years. In that time I've been through a S2000, mustang gt, bmw z4 m coupe, wrx and two other Evos. I keep going back so i guess they are an okay car
