Possible new Evo IX RS owner!

Hey whats up, I've been looking at Evo's/Sti's for the past few years and finally am making enough money to afford one. I decided I liked the Evo better and have been searching for a nice used for one the past few months with no luck.

I came across a '06 Evo IX RS with ~22k miles. I live 2 hours away and have not seen it in person, but from what I'm told it's in "showroom" condition and only has the filter, no other mods have been made. What would be a realistic OTD price for this car, they are asking $25k but I would love to hear some other opinions.

Wow! If I were to do it all over I would have bought an RS, no questions about it. Looks like it hasn't been molested either. You sir are a very lucky man. 25k sounds like it would be a competitive price. You might be able to talk them down a bit, but I know plenty of people (myself included) that would happily pay that much. Good luck!

Considering the fact that RS Evo's are pretty uncommon, I think that $25K is very reasonable. The best thing to do is to go and look at it, drive it if you can and ask yourself if you think you should buy it. Make sure to do a carfax and if you know other people that have good experience with Evos bring them as well.

Yeah, RS is exactly what I want. I would really like to get the car for 22/23k, but we will see what happens. Probably going to check it out either tomorrow or Friday.

Well, I didn't get the RS...

BUT, I did come home with a '06 IX SE in Apex Silver. 100% stock with 10k miles!

Words can not even describe how happy I am with this car!

How much did you end up paying for the SE?

Ah yes, excellent choice in color and for getting an SE. Looks identical to mine, super clean as well as uncommon. They are such an enjoyable car to drive no matter where you have to go. It always makes the trip more fun.

Very nice car and with 10K for just over 26, that is a hell of a good price. I love the front lip on the SE and I am jealous of FL cars and how the dealers don't have to put a front plate bracket on. I can't take mine off now because I will forever have holes there.

One question though, are those MR rims? Look like it...but then again I'm tired and could be wrong...
