i just moved to reno NV...and im from tx where it never snows and i never had to worry about snow in teh past...i hear from locals aroun here that it snows alot here....so are evos good in snow and what are some good snow tires?

I run Pirelli Snowsports, they are amazing!

 

They have a SNOW setting! Yes you will need snow tires. Don't have to worry about snow here in Guam.

 

it is all depend on which yr evo u have the 03 is not good at snow for sure, bcos they dont have lsd on them,

 

mine is awsome in the snow i run yokohamma snow tires

 

the 03 evo's have some LCD's, and they are great in the snow. get some good snow tires and your set!

 

evo with stock tires NO...evo with snow tires YES.

1st winter had stock tires...terrible.
2nd winter had blizzaks...amazing.

 

Everytime I see questions like these I laugh. Is it good in snow....of course its good! Since when has AWD not been good in the snow? There's a snow setting for a reason on the ACD. Just remember to put on winter tires. Stock advans are teh suck in snow and so are other summer performance tires. (common sense)

Edit: No ACD on 03-04 Evo's

 

i have an 03 and i had blizzak ws-50's on and even in blizzard conditions where everyone is driving 5mph i could drive the speed limit and it drove like it was on dry pavement...never slid nor spun tires unless i wanted them too AWD FTW

 

drives well if you have some snow tires.

 

My Evo is even good in the snow with just all-season tires.
