Boost Controller + Tune
I searched but couldnt really find the information I specifically wanted. Im new to tuning turbo cars so this all confusing to me
I plan to buy a mbc and I was thinking of getting hallman or a buschur. Im also getting a boost gauge but dont know which is a good cheap one. I also will probably be getting a turbo timer. And the last thing is to get a tune for it.
I figure the boost controller, gauge and timer will cost me around 300 or so but how much will the tune cost me and what is the best tuning program. And do you think i should stick with those mbc choices or go for a different brand? Also what is a safe boost setting I can raise to. My only current mod is a tbe and I own a 2003 evo 8. I was thinking of raising boost to 21-22 psi but I wouldnt mind going higher if it still considered safe. If I wanted to go higher what would I need to do? Change internals? And one last question in winter will I have to lower boost pressure? Any info will be helpful thanks =]

I like the buschur boost controller better then the hallman with the buschur i get zero spike and hold's boost better then the hallman does, also no spring or ball to change.Make sure when you order the m.b.c get busher's orginal style look's square and has a black round knob on top.As far as the tune go's it would contact mellon tuning.com he has the best mail in flash's availible there very aggressive and make they make the best power, what ever you do don't let dyno *** do the mail in.As long as you don't rev the car past 8,200 hundred rpm's and don't over boost on pump gas detenating the block you be just fine around 22psi on 93oct pump gas and 28psi on metheonal, also go with the buschur autometer boost guage it's 60 dollar's and it's spot on accurate also look's nice at night matche's the factory red guage cluster don't waste your money on defi ones there expensive and the boost is off by 1to2psi just for look's.
