Redline?

Is it ok to dip into the redline as long as you shift before 7.5 RPMs? (On stock motor)

I don't want to steer you in the wrong direction but I have been running my evo with stock valves, springs, retainers and bottom end up to 7,800 rpm for about a year now. I do have HKS 272 cams so it pulls a little harder than it used to so it gets there a little faster now but I haven't had any problems so far. Just my .02

Your rev limiter should be at 7600, you'll be fine.

Sweet! I just want to hit 60 mph in 2nd gear and that would require diping into 7200 ish RPMs. With Turbo I've heard Redline isn't necessary as long as your in the power band it'll pull.
