intakes?!

intakes?!

what is the difference between cold air intakes and short ram intakes?

cold air intakes extends to the outside of the engine bay, therefor able to carry cooler air.

short ram intakes do not extend as far and suck in the hotter air from the engine bay.

there's pretty minimal difference between the two tho.

cold air intake is away from the engine bay (usually behind the bumper) giving it colder air to make the fuel burn better....the colder the air the better.....short is in the engine bay where all the heat from the engine is being sucked in thus giving you a little less hoarse power than the cold air intake

Remember with a CAI theres more restriction and the possibility of water intrusion. Once your moving a SRI gets air just as cold as a CAI with less restriction. Off the line a CAI is better but once moving SRI is better. just my 2 cents
