Sorry, guess you're newer to the Evo world than I thought. Let me clarify in detail here:

For the additional cost on the MR SE and the regular SE models (and the MR model as well) I do not think the "extras" they come with are worth it. Some people do, you might... Nothing against that. Just that the extra few thousand buys a decent number of mods. And in the end you miss out on the lighter roof, the six speed, and the Bilsteins.... The benifit of the Bilsteins and the lighter roof can be met by buying some decent coilovers (making up for the bilsteins) and dropping it 1.5" (lowering the center of gravity the same amount the lighter roof lowers you).

I just don't think they're worth the extra cost, that's all. Its all a money thing for me. I've driven 4 different Evos on track, and 1 other one just around town (And a X, but that doesn't count). The 6 speed, IMO, is not worth it at all, unless you want an extra mpg or two.

Now, if you plan on keeping your car stock... The MR SE is the way to go.

Thanks for that. As I said, I love Evos but have not known too much about them as I concentrate mainly on my Subie. I like the lighter roof (don't plan on installing the AMS CF roof on my dd), the Bilsteins are kinda iffy for me as aftermarket coils could easily be obtained, and the 6 speed I like for the fact that it is a 6 speed. Lol.
I know that the 5 speed is well documented to be stronger and I'm still on the fence over which I would prefer.
I will take a look at this model and if I can get a decent price, I may or may not take it. I love my Subie and it makes great power but you know, an Evo is an Evo. I would really like a IX RS but I don't think my lady would like that (windows and all) and the HID's are a plus with the MR. Like I said, at this point, I am just looking.

P.S.
The car will remain stock turbo with maxed out bolt ons (cams, exhaust, intake, etc)

Be careful with that car, if you drive it and everthing checks out, it will follow you home. You will be stuck with the best road holding most fun to drive street legal vehicle known to mankind.

Thats a nice car, check it over well. Offer a couple grand off just to get the negotiations going. Its probably worth what they are asking

I'm new here and would have bet money that I would have never bought one of these a couple of years ago. I made the mistake of going on a test drive a couple of days ago. I drove the GSR and the MR, one hour later I took the MR home. YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Life is short, have fun....

Paid $28,200 before taxes for my EB IX that had only 10,800 miles on it. I think that price could comd down a few grand also.

I think if I WENT DOWN THERE, I could offer something several thousand less than asking and actually walk away with the car.
