Intake

Im going to be upgrading my intake soon so I was wondering everyones thoughts on the mod.

Should I keep the stock air box and just use a drop in filter and if so what brand?

I was also thinking of going with this intake http://lancershop.com/customer/produ...4&cat=2&page=1

Ive heard bad things about some aftermarket intakes so let me know whats good

There's a lot more where this came from.

Why choose a relatively unknown entity, when Buschur (as an example) offers a kit that has been proven to perform on hundreds of Evos and that costs less, to boot?

I agree, there are plenty of threads about intakes. Sometimes though it's just a lot to go through.

My opinion is if you are doing small mods like intake/exhaust/IC pipes, just go with a drop in filter. I've heard a few people complain about idle and stalling with open filters and hard intake pipes. K&N filter is like $50 and makes a significant difference. If you plan on doing other mods which include tuning, I would then recommend an open air filter element and/or hard pipe. But then as stated above, I'd go with something with more R&D like Buschur.
