Which blow off valve sound the best on the evo do you guys think??? Also which one is good to hold a good amount of boost???

I'm always been partial to the GReddy Type-S and Greddy Type-R (not RS). I use an APS, however. Because I got it free, holds boost, and works very well. The sound is boring, but who cares? BUT, if I had to buy one for sound, it'd be a GReddy Type-S.

Greddy type-s sounds like a whining bird. HKS SSQV sounds like a turkey. Everything else just sounds like rushing air haha. That's pretty much it man...

 

u might start to get flamed and ripped apart rele bad for this thread lol but i like tial alsoo...but dont run a dumping to atmosphere BOV ur evo will run like garbage. im putting a tial on mine after i order about another 4k in mods and my re-tune this week

Just use a bov that doesn't leak. "If it's not broke, don't fix it" is something I've heard ever since being into cars. So if yours is good, then don't replace it yet. Wait til you need one...

^Yes, get one of those! I think you can get one at wal-mart or any other major retailer with a hunting and fishing department.

Just sell your evo now while your at it.

Get the stock IX diverter valve. It is what 90% of evo owners need. Take off the lid of your intake box and you will get a nice whoosh sound.
