Hi, my name is Lane from VA and I've been looking at getting into a Evo... I've decided it's time for something new and after driving just about every type of car I've narrowed it down to either a C5 Z06 or a EVO. I currently have a modded Mineral Gray 03 cobra and love it but I'm just ready for something different. Here's a few pics of the cobra, it will be for sale/trade very soon.

 

Welcome man, to me if i wanted something that fast and i woundnt mod(besides exhaust) and didnt care about gas then id go with the c5 zo6, but if i wanted a good fast, not as much as a gas hog, that you can mod for not so much, or leave stock then id go with an evo. with me i cant afford anything better that an evo. and i dont want a rwd, like a new 07 or 08 mustang. i have a 99 ford ranger that doesnt run worth a crap. and make around 1600 to 2000 a month living with my parents with no bill except maybe a cell phone when its over the bill. and its only around 700 to 900 for me to own my evo ix, (thats with the car payment and insurance) and i bought it for around 30 with around 10k miles on it. with my dad as a co-signer(very good credit). so just think of what i said first before you buy and get some more opinions. peace man. Actually man, the vette's are know to get around 30mpg highway! So the evo is actually the gas hog... I just don't know if I can justify having a 2 seater, I do have a few DD's but like to take more than one person with me every once in a while.

 

so the vette has better mpg, but what if you get on it, its got 8 big cylinders to be gas hogs, but i get what you mean, thats another reason why i got my evo. i wanted to take more than just the girlfriend and not only have 2 doors. and everything else out there is slo or stupid looking to me. SRT-4s are dumb, i wont drive FWD. lol. but yeah vettes are cool, not a chevy person either but id rather have that then a good mustang(my brother has one and thats another reason why i dont like em). but i agree 10000% about taking more than one person, thats what ive had to do for about a year and im 18. i couldnt handle it. only one friend when you have 10 that you hang out with and they dont have cars, or atleast cars that they can drive when ever.

 

Get an Evo......Period.

You cant beat a z06, but, the practical part of the evo is great!
