Talking Evo X owner to be

HI,

I'm Yousef, 27 years old from United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Last month I paid a deposit for a white 2009 6 speed GSR Twin clutch SST with the following options:

PP: The Performance Pack
• 18"x 8.5" BBS Forged Aluminium Wheels
• 2-piece Brembo Front Disc.
• Alloy Mounting Bell -1.3kg Lighter per Wheel
• Front and Rear Bilstein Sport Shock Absorbers and Eibach Springs All Round

LC: Leather Combination Interior Pack
• Leather & Alcantara Recaro Upgrade Front and Rear including Heated Seat
• Sound Deadening Material Upgrade
• Floor Console Box Lid Covered with Vinyl Leather
• Door Entrance Scuff Plate

KE: Keyless Entry System
A system which allows the driver to lock or unlock the doors and to start or stop the engine without having to take the remote unit out of the pocket or handbag.

RF: Rockford Fosgate Premium Sound System (High Power Amplifier and 9-speaker System)

We are not going to have MR version for the middle east as it is only for US market..so basically it is LHD Japanese version with the above packs without navigation system...

The car will be delivered in October.. can't wait!!
It was ordered through the official Mitsubishi dealer with 3 years or 60k warranty... It is the first time we are going to have Evo with warranty...

Unfortunately, they do not have a test drive car as it will be the first batch... lucky to be one of the first and unlucky no test drive ..

anyway, ive been checking EvoM and youtube and im simply amazed how this car handles... im sure i will not regret my purchase! it is a beautiful car, very aggressive look.. love it!!

my only concern is, its stock sound.. i found a few videos on youtube with stock exhaust and man it sounds very weak... the problem is, changing the stock exhaust will void the warranty..which is odd... even Ralliart exhaust with the dealer installation and flash will void the warranty!!! the guys at mitsu dealer are working on this issue with Mitsubishi....

what I need is a clear sound clip of the stock exhaust if possible...i would realy apperaciate it..

You mean you got a 6 speed X MR, not a GSR right? The white color is very nice choice for the Evo X, but I personally like the X GSR (5 speed manual) over the 6 speed twin-clutch SST MR. I love being one with my car, even if the MR is a little faster around a track. The GSR has the true manual and I think that's much more fun than a "super-high performance automatic." As long as you're happy, all the best with your choice!

MR is not really a trim level for any Lancer Evolution outside North American market, it is pretty much a version of itself, ie:

VIII MR (8.5) - Comes in RS, RS 6spd, GSR
IX MR (9.5) - Comes in RS, GT and GSR
