Hi all,
I don't own an EVO quite yet, but it is in my plans. Due to certain changes in Canadian laws, the EVO (other then the Evo X) are now legal to be imported to Canada... w00t w00t
I've always like the looks of the car and can't wait to own one. It should only be by next spring, but plan on ready up and learning as much as i can until the time comes to actually buy one.
I currently own a 1997 Ford Probe GT, now it's nothing compared to the potential of the EVO, but it is a really fun car to drive. I just think it's time for me to move up in the ranks and get something with a little more pep and i also like the fact that it is awd and 4 door.
Just wondering what are things to look for when buying an EVO? What are the good's and bad's of owning an EVO?

Best advice anyone could give you:
DONT RUSH IT.
I know the wait sucks, but it's worth it.
Find something that is the exact color you want, exact price range (or negotiable down to it), exact mileage range, exact trim, and as stock as possible.

It took me about 1 yr to find mine and i almost bought 3 others that had less features than i wanted, wrong color, no sunroof, etc.
Take your time and you will be all too happy in the end.
Whatever you do, get a brand new car and do not get a used car. Since you like Evo's, I would get the new X GSR in wicked white. I like it in base trim with no extra options. Oh yeah, and I would wait for the 2nd year model of the X....It will be the more updated version compared to a first year model.

Nope... Bumper LAW...The Evo was rated at 3 MPH collision, Since I can remember all Canadian Vehicles had to pass the 5 MPH.. Recently in June I think they revised the law, lowered it to 3 MPH... That's why the EVO's are allowed in...And That's why I have one and F*%'N love it...
