Launch Question!
Hello everyone!
I was wondering what is the correct way to launch an Evo X. I come from American Muscle cars and am pretty new to the whole AWD scene. I tried a few timed with traction on and off and the needle would drop from 3k rpms down to 1k then start from there. A buddy of mine had a 06 STI and I would launch that thing at 4k and it would stay at 4k when I engaged the clutch. Someone please help I'm trying to go to the tracks soon and want to fix what I am going wrong.
Thanks in Advance,
Zeus

not to be a douche but seeing that this is your 2nd post, you will realize that there are at least 5 threads about this in the "driving techniques" section.
some are titled 2 step which is clutch in and in first rev to 5500 rpms and the rev limiter will kick in. check the threads for different techniques with the clutch and the ramifications of doing it with a stock clutch. lots to read.

^^^^ like said that will most likely provide best results, but also be very hard on your clutch just be prepared to pay if you wanna play. found this for ya too page one has one drivers technique and experience, https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=365401
