ok i nee help i orderd strut bar from procarparts i ge it go to install it and low and behold it doesnt fit!!!!!!!!!!.........need some feedback......oh does it help that it said 02-03 mitsubishi lancer 1.8......

 

did u jack up one side of the car? i know some didnt have to do that but some people did depending on the strut bar manufacturer. 02-03 1.8L is just describing what model yr it fits.

 

i think thats the one that hits your cruise control sensor on your intake mani id return it

 

some people had to modify to fit. i have the lower and rear strut bar they fit perfect.

 

the holes for the bolts fit perfectly its the bar thats giving me troubles......especially the damn cruise control sensor

 

Return it...you can either remove the cruise control (dunno why you would do that) or somehow get the bar to lift above the cruise control.

 

Definately send it back. The Procar 1.8L bar will not fit your 2.0L engine.

It will rub the throttlebody and break your cruise components. If you want a good, functional strut bar, call RRM.

 

yep, im thinkin of getting the rhys millen strut bar.....little costly but yeah.........

 

i had to grind mine man, i didn't bother returning, not worth it. and if its still sits low, use some washers with some insulators.

was it one of those adjustable ones that hits the copper thingy, i guess cruise control? i tried putting it backwards and it worked for like a week then it started banging up against my throttle body and almost cracked it. my suggestion is to either resell it or send it back and say its a piece of ****.

 

i really want that strut bar, i think itll be well worth the 200 because it looks nice and i can tell it has great handling capability. and i like how its not colored, just silver.

 

i dont got cruise control either....so would i be able to use it??

 

i bet its an EBAY intake. THEY DON'T FIT DON'T TRY. GET A REAL ONE FROM RRM!!!
