Intake Pipe

Does the intake pipe have any benefits other than having more "bling" under the hood? I also heard that the stock intake pipe muffles the sound "sucking" sound, so if I change the intake pipe to something like this:

Will it be loud as hell? Thanks in advance EvoM.

Yes it will make your spool sound louder. I wouldnt get that intake though. Get a intake pipe that is shaped like an S. Buschur, AEM, and I have heard amazing things about the new Perrin.

Hey thanks for the info.. I saw that you're from Kent, WA and my friend lives there. I plan to move there end of this year, early next, so even more props to you! As for the intake pipes that are shaped like an S, I'm going to have to look into those. But does that change the fitment of the cone filters? And what is the shape of the stock intake pipe?

To be honest, I dont remember what the stock one looks like. Its not a hard pipe though. But yes, a S is the only way I would go. I have a buschur, but I am thinking about getting the new Perrin, its sick! Oh, and it hardly changes the placement of the filter.

PM me if you need anything else!
