6 miles to the dollar

6 miles to the dollar
So everyone talks about miles to the gallon.. but with the higher price of 93 I decided to see what that means in money.
So after doing some math lets say I average of about 6 miles to the dollar depending on how I drive, traffic, and various price of fuel. Doesn't sound like much bang for the buck - distance wise. Don't get me wrong, I love driving the car and yeah, it is worth it. It's just not cheap.
To and from work 12 miles each way means $4 round trip.
A trip to the airport is 43 miles which means $14.33 round trip.
An evening trip to the casino is 70 miles each way which means $23.33 round trip.
Meh.. I guess it could be worse. Just interesting to put a price on each "drive" you take.
