Hey guys. I just found out about this place 2 nights ago and wish I would have known about it sooner! I just bought my G35 coupe a few months ago and have a couple years left on the payment.

Soon as that's done I want to get an 06 EVO IX MR and mod that. My only concern is that the ride is going to be stiff as nails especially here on the streets of Chicago in the winter time.

Are there any coilovers that perform well yet allow you to adjust the comfort so the ride is similar to the G35 coupe?

I'm not expecting Lexus level comfort (although that would be nice) but something that dampens the bumps so that my teeth don't chip when I'm driving! Which ones do you recommend and why do you prefer them over other brands? Thanks in advance

The best option for daily street drving is using the stock Bilsteins coupled with GT Worx springs or the Swift setup. Its not too low, and handling is improve without sacrificing too much comfort. You can read more in the wheel/suspension/tires section. GL.

 

TEIN Comfort Sport coilovers. They improve handling and give you a silky smooth ride. And you can never go wrong with TEIN.

 

Yes, there are adjustable coilovers for the Evo. It just depends on what can fit your budget. My friend has endura tech's on his Evo and loves them, they are adjustable, and they are a fairly great upgrade for the price. Or you can go all out and get a Robi spec suspension.

 

+1, best combo for the street. Coilovers are overkill IMHO.
